In addition, information may be processed by third-party providers that support the Service, including cloud infrastructure providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AI model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
Data Usage
We use the information we collect to grant you access to the Service, maintain accounts, process assessments, and deliver features such as synthetic teammate interactions. Data is also used to enforce compliance with these Terms, ensure platform stability, and protect against fraud or misuse. DevDay Technologies Ltd may analyse collected data to improve functionality, enhance reliability, and refine assessment capabilities. Your data may also be used to inform system updates or support queries raised by you.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data with trusted third parties that provide essential infrastructure and services, such as cloud hosting (AWS), AI model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic), and analytics or logging providers, strictly to enable core functionality. Data may also be disclosed if required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of DevDay Technologies Ltd or its users. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.
Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, multi-factor authentication and regular security reviews of our infrastructure and integrated services. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Use of the Service in ways that attempt to bypass security measures, inject malicious code, or gain unauthorised access to infrastructure is strictly prohibited.
Data Retention
DevDay Technologies Ltd retains personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, and support legitimate business purposes. Once data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information:
Account Data: Registration details and login credentials are kept for as long as your account remains active. If you request deletion or deactivate your account, this data will be permanently removed.
Payment and Billing Data: Financial and transactional records are retained for up to six years to comply with UK tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
Assessment and Usage Data: Code submissions, task interactions, and behavioural data generated during assessments are retained until your account is deleted or, if inactive, for no longer than 24 months. After this period, data may be anonymised and used for research, product improvement, or system performance analysis.
Anonymised or Aggregated Data: Data that has been fully anonymised, so that it can no longer reasonably identify any individual, may be retained indefinitely for purposes such as improving our product, enhancing system safety, and developing new features.
Users can exercise their right to deletion at any time, as described in our Data Deletion Policy.
User Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your account information by contacting us or using the functionality provided within the Service. You may discontinue use of the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing, request data portability, or lodge complaints with data protection authorities. Where third-party AI model providers or cloud providers process data on our behalf, your rights extend to the data they process under our instructions.

We may update these Terms and our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or business practices. Updates will be effective immediately upon posting on the Service unless otherwise required by law. Your continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as through email or in-platform notifications.
